baby just turned 1yr, has acid reflux since 6wks old and doesn't chew his food. i'm having a hard time with food options. any suggestions for a menu?

See Pediatrician: Your 1 yr old has "acid reflux" since 6 wks old &amp; "doesn't chew his food". Infants with significant reflux can become a challenge to feed. An uncomfortable experience with feeding can lead to food refusal and nutritional problems. It is important to see your baby's Pediatrician to address nutritional adequacy and to pursue therapy which will work to improve baby's swallowing skills &amp; food intake.

Biting: You would have to bite pretty hard on something pretty strong or have damaged or weak teeth to break during normal chewing, even if hard. The ligament that holds your tooth in the socket has proprioceptin that stops you from biting down too hard. There are grooves in your teeth so different textures and sizes may pass through differently than others.

every time i chew my food, my jaw slowly makes it harder for me to continue. no pain but a tender spot behind my earlobe ?

TMJ Dysfunction: TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) dysfunction might be the cause of the pain.
I would suggest to try chewing slowly, and to use oral pain killers as needed.

Trauma: Just another reason to avoid gum chewing. You may have a fractured tooth. Please see your Dentist who can do more testing than "prodding" to determine the cause of your pain and the appropriate treatment.
