Absolutely not.: Supplements (even if they have "natural" names like gaia) are minimally regulated by the fda.  Their quality can be inconsistent, the manufacturing isn't standardized, and in no way should be given to a 3 week old whose immune system is just developing.  Your baby does not need this type of bacteria in it's gut.  If you think your baby has stomach issues, please talk with their doctor first.

my nanny mistakenly put probiotics drops in my 1year old's ear.

i am worried about this, can i do anything?

Not particularly : Probiotics are just colonies of germs that are helpful to the digestive system. The moisture of the drop would be a transient irritant, like getting water in the canal, but the colonies would not affect the intact skin of the canal. That skin is naturally protected by its own ear wax. I wouldn't do it again but I would not do anything either.

my 1 and a half year old son has oral thrush. i have been giving him candacide oral suspension drops for 2 days along with probiotic drops (both every 6 hours as per the chemists advice) but it is not clearing up. he struggles to eat, drink and sleep?

Options: You can help speed recovery by mechanically removing some of the material. A wet gauze or cloth around a finger can be used to scrape away/remove some. You can apply the med drops directly to the involved sites. Swallowed drops provide no benefit. Chilled fluids are easier to swallow.

Yes...but: There is little chance they will do anything important. Colic is a transitional process that self heals over time mostly when baby begins to have more movement around 3-4 mo. If giving all these meds makes you feel better you are welcome to. I find them to be a waste in most cases.

Won't harm: GDD needs a team approach and several disciplines to deal with, nutrition is one aspect, good nutrition definitely helps, but for malnutrition to be the sole factor very unlikely , good luck

Biogaia Probiotic: is a nutrional supplement for Brest fed babies. It contains lactobacillus  which helps with colic in babies.   Lactobacillus is a live microorganism which lives naturally in the human body. So it does not cause any harm if accidentally put in the eyes. WASH THE EYES COPIOUSLY WITH CLEAN LUKEWARM WATER.  See your Pediatrician if the eye is irritated.

Help with what?: Probiotics MAY help. They are usually still alive, if stored properly all the time from production, through shipping, to being on the store shelf. The living microorganisms get weaker and die over time. The problem is that nobody can really tell how much live material was in the package to start, how much is alive when one buys it, how much survives at home, nor how much goes to one's intestine.
