Use your muscles: The contraction of calf muscles helps to push the blood back up to the heart. So doing calf raises, going for a walk are helpful. Compression socks (like jobst) are also very useful in preventing swelling especially if you have a job where you are standing still for many hours.

Edema: Dependent edema is edema that's distributing according to forces of gravity. If you are standing dependent edema will be in your legs, however if you are in the bed it can be in the sacrum and back. On the other hand pitting edema is the one where if you press on it with your finger you will leave a mark. However this is all semantics and both dependent and pitting edema are signs of volume overlo.

Salad &amp; salmon diet.Stop all concentrated sweets,baked goods &amp; decrease sugar .Eat plenty of fruits,vegetables &amp;nuts.
 warm lemon juice first thing in AM
