Depends: If the person is merely physically dependent on it (experiences withdrawal symptoms when they try to stop) then a slow taper should work. If they have a true addiction problem then they should be assessed by an addictionologist (http://www.Asam.Org) and follow the treatment recommendations. Addiction is a much more serious and potentially fatal problem than physical dependence.

Decrease slowly!: I can't believe you have been prescribed oxycodone for fibromyalgia. You did not specify the dose, but taper yourself slowly.  Expect some discomfort, but if you taper slowly, you should not have withdrawal, depending on the length of time you have been on this drug.  I would seek another practitioner!

That may be the : case if the oxycodone was due to run out on 9/13.  Now a days physicians have to be very cautious when prescribing narcotics. There are an extraordinary number of opiate related deaths in this country each year.

Migraines: This answer seems very simple, so if I am missing the point. The best thing to do for your migraines is to get a migraine specialist when you are not hurting and to get fully evaluated and have a diagnosis and the correct prevention in place for when you do hurt. The er is the least effective place to get help for chronic illnesses.  Pain medications do not prevent migraine headaches.

One percocet should: Not cause problems with breastfeeding, but if you want to be safe, i would wait at least 24 hours.  It would not likely show up in a drug test for more than 24 hours if a single dose, 48 hours at most.  If it were prescribed, then a positive test should not have any impact on you, legally or otherwise.  If taken on a regular basis, urine tests can remain positive for 3-4 days at most.
