Decrease slowly!: I can't believe you have been prescribed oxycodone for fibromyalgia. You did not specify the dose, but taper yourself slowly. Expect some discomfort, but if you taper slowly, you should not have withdrawal, depending on the length of time you have been on this drug. I would seek another practitioner!

With doc advice: Any discontinuation or reduction of a medication should be done as your prescribing doctor advises. Many doctors will prescribe a withdrawal regimen which usually safely will work. Sometimes that will depend on other medical conditions or meds, so your doc will be in best position to know how is best. Some people with cardiac or blood pressure issues may be at higher risk.
