No.: For most people, it doesn't really matter. For pregnant women, it's sometimes recommended to sleep on the left side. But really, whatever is most comfortable is fine.

Yes it is OK: Our heart rate slows significantly while asleep. In an otherwise healthy person we can expect HR of 50's. Forty is however a little slow. Check EKG for any Heart Block consult cardiology if needed.

anxious and depersonalized all day today, couldn't sleep, just took .25 ativan (lorazepam), (lorazepam) heart rate is already 60s, afraid it's going to make it lower.. is ativan (lorazepam) dangerous at such a small dose for your heart?

Not dangerous: Ativan (lorazepam) is generally not dangerous for your heart, especially at such a low dose. However, if your heart rate is that low I would definitely suggest that you not take any more ativan (lorazepam) and that you see your prescribing doctor as soon as possible. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

Logically, no: Logically speaking, one cannot have no heart conditions and have his heart suddenly stop. That is because sudden cessation of heart contractions, without outside influence, is itself an abnormal heart condition. Therefore, if his heart were to suddenly stop by itself, he would have a heart condition, logically speaking.

is it okay for your heart rate to be 41-42 when sleeping? since june, ive had my apple watch alert me to 3 separate occasions while asleep of low heart rate which is between 41-47 bpm. ive had a 30 day monitor & it just showed sinus tachycardia?

: Low heart rates while sleeping is a common phenomenon. Since you already had an event monitor for 30 days, it’s reassuring that you have no major rhythm problems. If you are obese or snore while sleeping, I would recommend a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea.
