Maybe: Platelet rich plasma is thought to have growth factors and cytokines that rejuvenate skin and perhaps hair follicles and matrix. As mono therapy it probably isn't so great but it may help hair transplantation Propecia (finasteride) or Minoxidil work better.

I don't know of any : Studies that show this. Theoretically, this could increase blood flow to the scalp (already has a great blood supply). But most hair loss in men is genetically programmed, &/or related to testosterone's negative effect on the hair follicle. Minoxidil/rogaine blocks this, so can sometimes help. I'd try it first. It won't give you a lot of hair & you have to keep using it.

Minoxidil: Minoxidil is a topical solution (aka rogaine). There is a female formulation that is 2% solution. This is should applied twice a day and takes about 2 months to start seeing results. No prescription is needed and it is found at most grocery stores and pharmacies.

Depends : I assume you are referring to growth of scalp hair that is thinning out due to heredity .  If that is not the case or you are not sure your best bet is to get a hair loss evaluation by a dermatologist.
If you have hereditary male pattern hair loss you have two choices.   Minoxidil topical works and is over the counter.  Finasteride is taken orally but you need a  prescription.

Healthy diet: A healthy diet with adequate protein, calcium, fresh fruits and vegetables is the best treatment for weak hair follicles.  Avoid pulling on the hair or tying it back tightly.  Unfortunately shampoos and pills do not help with hair growth.  Pills that cause hair growth cause hair growth everywhere including arms, legs and mustache.

Short growth cycle: Hair goes through a cycle - growth, rest, shedding, and regrowth. You shed 60-100 hairs/day, all of which regrow. Your hair is growing; you just used to have a longer growth cycle, but now it is shorter and your hairs are shedding before they can grown any longer. Why this happens is not yet known. There is nothing to do about it until more research is done on regulation of the hair growth cycle.

This can be sorted out with further testing to check all your Hormone making glands in your body.
