35 yr female, used to have long hair. hair growth stunted for 10 yrs. literally the same length, it just does not grow. docs can't figure out why~help?

Short growth cycle: Hair goes through a cycle - growth, rest, shedding, and regrowth. You shed 60-100 hairs/day, all of which regrow. Your hair is growing; you just used to have a longer growth cycle, but now it is shorter and your hairs are shedding before they can grown any longer. Why this happens is not yet known. There is nothing to do about it until more research is done on regulation of the hair growth cycle.
