Yes: Benzoyl peroxide will bleach anything it comes into contact with, including facial hair. It is a gradual lightening, not necessarily a drastic effect. If you are trying to treat acne underneath a mustache or beard, try a salicylic acid acne cream which will not cause this bleaching effect.

i over-used benzoyl peroxide & my face is bright red and dry, even after many hours. i need the redness to go away asap. what should i do?

Wait it out: This is going to happen with any of these products &amp; the chemical burn you created must heal. Be sure you get all of it off with a moisturizing soap.You could try a mild (1/2% hydrocortisone cream thinly applied once or  twice a day for itching/redness but you mostly have to let it heal.It will behave like a sunburn. Avoid the BP for a few weeks.

i use clearasil (benzoyl peroxide) ultra face wash/mask and it works well but i was wondering is there something that i can put on after like lotion?

Acne& VitaminE/aloe: You could try vitamin e cream and aloe if it helps. Some times it can aggrvate the pimple but most of the times it is okay.

my dermatologist said i have combination of acne vulgris n rosacea.he gave benzoyl peroxide creamy face wash. is it ok with rosacea??i heard it's not

See below: Some people are sensitive to it and may have allergic reactions (hives, tightness of the throat) or severe irritation of the skin.  Use a small amount once a day on a small area of affected skin for three days.  If you have no reaction, then you can use it, but follow the directions given by the dermatologist

Cosmetic reaction: Clearasil (benzoyl peroxide) has different ingredients for different purposes.When your skin breaks out at the site which has contact with it, it can be due to either allergy or irritation. If symptoms are outside of the area that your skin has contacts with, it is more likely that you are allergic to one of the ingredients in the lotion/solution. In all case, you should stop using it and see a doc to be evaluated.

benzoyl peroxide irritated my face and left the applied area with darkened and damaged skin tone as if sunburned. its been few months and i can still see the difference of it from the surrounding skin tone. what can i do and will it heal on its own ?

Should heal in time: Some will have this effect if left on for longer than their skin will tolerate. Skin tone is created by pigment producing cells within the skin and can take a year or so to even out after a simple injury. There are no products that would speed this process but a sunblock could reduce part of the difference caused by sun tan on unaffected skin.

You may: What you described should not have any ill-effects.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Direct effect: Your reaction is a direct action of the benzoyl peroxide. Try using a weaker preparation: it comes in many different strengths.  Carefully read your label and ascertain what strength you actually have.

Oilly skin: BP doesn't stop oil production but just dries out your skin.  You could use a stronger strength like 10% or get a prescription cream from a doc.
