Probably not: However, many people with a wheat allergy get irritable bowel syndrome and Dicyclomine is a common treatment for ibs.

Possible: Any drug can potentially cause an allergic response , some more serious than others.  Unless the drug is absolutely essential, one should avoid any drug which causes itching or serious side effects . For the essential ones, contact your doctor to get a substitue.

i'm taking nexium (esomeprazole) and bentyl (dicyclomine). i see a small rash/hives on forehead but nowhere else on body, no other signs. how likely is this allergy?

Unlikely: If the rash is localized it is more likely something you came in contact with. If the rash becomes more widespread or if you develop any swelling, particularly in your throat or have problems breathing, be assessed. If necessary call emergency transport. All the best.

No need more than : Bentyl (dicyclomine) used for irritable bowel syndrome.  Pains are due to gastric cancer need treatment , if already treated by traditional surgery , chemo and possible radiation , need pain management specialist , no reason to suffer with pain , speak to your doctor for referral

Variable: Late teen female with IBS pain unresponsive to one dose of Bentyl (dicyclomine) might try additional doses and have concern for Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, which is highly associated with IBS.  Gastroenterologist and Osteopath might help to diagnose.

i was told long ago my stomach has spasms and given dicyclomine..once 10 mg...once 20 mg...my stomach is spasming again..is there a higher dose ?..

See a physician: Reading between the lines it would appear to me that you need more than just a dose increase. You gastroenterologist should re-evaluate  your diagnosis and whether your current treatment is appropriate.

Not for Gallstones: Dicyclomine  is used to treat symptoms of irritable bowel disease and intestinal hypermotility. It does not dissolve gallstones or make them pass. There are medications which have some ability to dissolve stones but the stones return when the medications are stopped. They are very rarely used.

Probably not: According to Epocrates, there is no interaction between the two.  You could double check with your prescribing physician and/or your pharmacist.

Too much: The standard dose for Bentyl (dicyclomine) would be 10-20 mg 3-4 times a day, making a maximum dose of 80 mg.  A dose of 200 mg would be excessive.

YES: Unless the proper antidote  is given or vomiting is induced.
