why would would it show alert on my blood pressure result of 123/63. this is part of testing for our health benefits. i know 120/80 is normal and the concern is with the bottom number. but why would they have a red alert by 123/63?

Your : Your blood pressure is completely normal, and i believe there is no reason for concern. Most medical authorities regard the range of normal blood pressure (BP) as 90/60 to 140/90, but I have seen many BP postings with different (and apparently arbitrary) "limits" for high and low. Today many experts believe BP regularly over 130/85 should already be regarded as needing attention. It's possible the screening you were involved sets the lower limit of normal at 65 (so you were slightly below it), but it's commonplace for healthy individuals to have the lower number (diastolic pressure) into the 50's and feel totally well.

Y would U want to?: Baby Aspirin helps prevent clots (thus heart attacks and ischemic (clot-related) type strokes. Unfortunately, by the same token, it increases with risk of bleeding including hemorrhagic (bleeding-type) strokes. No study i'm familiar with has shown benefit for Aspirin for anyone under the age of 50. Even 40 year old men showed no benefit for primary prevention. (people without disease).

Exercise helps HT: Walking on a treadmill or any other exercise that causes you to breath faster and more deeply and gets your heartrate[pulse] up will elevate your BP during the exercise, but as you get better conditioned it may lower your resting BP for a long time after. If this doesn't help, see your primary provider for further evaluation. Good luck!

Suggest treadmill1st: It is not definite. However. It will appear that the treadmill is more physical. Hence be done before the more relaxing steam room. Both will be helpful with more clinical evidence in favor of treadmill in reducing your b/p.

Not much difference: Coffee is a stimulent , may increase hear rate slightly , or may not affect  in some one who drinks coffee  regularly , also  at 33 yr old who will have enough cardiac reserve , may not affect the  b p  also  other than increasing heart rate ..

There are some BP meds that may help you with erectile function, including arbs such as losartan and Alpha blockers such as doxazosin.

BP and excercise: It is normal for your blood pressure to increase during and right after exercising. If that is the reading about 20 minutes after resting, you should be concerned. Check with a local physician if that is the case. Otherwise, you should keep doing what you do. Exercise and eat healthy.
