Any time: Esthetic dentistry can be done at any time.  Realize that closing gap makes teeth wider to fill the space.  You might also want to consider tooth movement to close the space.  Ask your dentist.

Don't : Don't worry about it, just do it. Nobody is going to care. If its important to you, a good cosmetic dentist will make you very happy.

Depends on size: A small diastema can be easily restored with two bonded restorations (one on each side). If the space is large, it is more difficult: the bonding tends to break off and the two centrals tend to look large in comparison to your other teeth. Please consult with a local dentist who can examine you.

Pain in molars: You should not have work done on your front teeth that  now makes your back teeth touch "harder" without proper evaluation of your occlusion.. If your front teeth were so far off that now you are traumatizing your molars, then you have a more complicated situation. The work may have created an unbalanced occlusion. Front teeth do protect back teeth, see a trained dentist.

Check the bite: It sounds like the length of your front teeth is interfering with your normal bite. You may need more clearance between your lower front teeth and your upper front teeth. Go back to the dentist that did the bonding and let them know the problems you are having.

Measure: If it is possible, you might try measuring the length of the teeth before and after.  Most lower front teeth are 10mm tall and upper front teeth are 12mm tall.  You might also consider a second opinion.

how long before i get used to my new tooth bonding? its been a few days, and my mouth still feels very strange. its almost like i have a layer of food stuck to my teeth, and i just want to wipe it away. how long before my mouth feels normal again?

If : If the bonding was done well, polished well, mimics natural tooth form properly, and contoured physiologically at the gum line then you should feel comfortable with it in a couple of weeks.

Invisalign: I'm not sure i understand the question but, if you get orthodontics done now at 25yrs old, they usually can be restored to its original state, except if there are severe issues (ie; major cross-bite, open bite) these may need orthognathic surgery. If you don't wear a retainer at night after treatment is done, they will rebound & get bad again.
