Iron administration: The Vitamin C in the orange juice will help iron absorption.  Make sure that all of the medicated juice is taken, or the dose will be inappropriately low.  Tricky mom!  :)

Trivia, avoid OJ: Iron may be slightly better absorbed from an acid medium, but ph powerfully controlled by our stomach ; especially small intestines, where iron absorbed, thus you are being marked nonsense - quite common. The bigger issue is that orange juice is high sugar, as much or more than a sugar soft drink ; is not health, though marketing as healthy to sell the stuff. Can't sell frozen oranges. Go hflc.

Interactions: I would have thought that the bit of vitamin c in grape juice would have helped you absorb the iron better, but actually the Phenols in Red or Dark grape juice prevent the absorption of iron. So  you will absorb less iron with dark grape juice than with water, but it shouldn't make you sick.

Ok: It may actually be helpful to take iron with juices rich in vitamin C because iron is more easily absorbed when taken with vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is the strongest  iron inhancer, reducing ferric iron to ferrous iron. 
Avoid iron inhibitors like tannins in tea, red wine and phytates in nuts, seeds, grains and cereal. They prevent non heme iron from being absorbed

as iron is harmful for thalassemia patient so which fruits have iron or which is safe for my 6 months baby?is orange juice juice harmful ? pls advic

Fruits don't have it: Fruits do not contain high amounts of iron.  Mainly iron is contained in red meat, especially liver, and big leafy green vegetable such at spinach, mustard greens and collard greens.  I don't recommend giving infants or children juice.  Juice is al sugar and it rots teeth, and is habit forming and it is very fattening.  All your baby needs is formula to drink, and later you can add water.

my daughter has sickle cell disease. we have been giving her beetroot with passion fruit juice everyday. now i want to add brucoli on her menu. is it ok for her to eat both in the same day. i heard that children with scd can have iron overload?

i am little consipated. i took 1 tbsp of milk of magnesia around 5 pm yesterday. its 12 pm and i have only gone little pieces. should i take another dose of mom or just try a dose of miralax in juice? thank you . i take iron supplement?

: You may take Miralax and drink plenty of water. Iron supplements are known to cause constipation. You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. Try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

Beet root juice: can relax the lining of blood vessels, thus promoting blood flow.  Good circulation can help avoid pooling of lactic acid in large muscles.  Please cool down after running anyway.  Peace and good health.

how long beet juice can take to get out of system? i drank  it last week but my urine is still pinkish?

Pink urine: I am concerned that you may be passing blood in your urine as the beet juice was ingested a week ago. Your physician can order a simple urinalysis and microscopic examination to check for blood in the urine. If present you will need investigation of kidneys and bladder for pathology.
