Sounds like sunburn: A baby gets sunburn very easily. Even on a cloudy day, it is possible to get a sunburn, because uv light penetrates through clouds. I would strongly recommend to keep babies in a shade, not directly expose to any sunlight. A baby gets sunstroke more easily than older children as well.

Could be allergy: If you developed an allergic reaction to a sun tanning lotion! it could be pretty uncomfortable. Get it checked and moisturize your skin until you see a doctor.

See Your Doctor: Rash is a general term and there are many causes. Diagnosis is difficult without visual inspection. If you were swimming in fresh water, swimmer's itch can be a cause. This is caused by a parasite that burrows into the skin causing an itchy bumpy rash. Other causes could be dry skin, allergies, &amp; infection. Treatment is guided by the cause. See your doctor for correct diagnosis and treatment.

Itchy rash: It could be several things, allergic reaction to type of sunscreen used at the beach, maybe laundry detergent used recently, if traditional otc allergy meds have been tried and are not working i would see your physician asap.

we have been given x giacomo antisthamines(formistin drops) that will finish next tuesday. to help with his allergic conjunctivitis (and rash) . will be problems to go to the beach? i have planned to leave next monday x 1 week at the sea.

Treatment success?: Allergic conjunctivitis can easily be treated with antihistamine drops. If your child is responding to the treatment (eyes no longer red, rash going away) then no additional treatment needs to be prescribed. If the symptoms are not going away you may want to see your childs dr prior to your departure so that they can change the med.

Yes it could: May cause local rash or irritation. Just rinse off and keep area clean dry.  Nothing to severe should come of it
