i just received my blood test results. everything normal except % granulocyte is 42 (normal range 43-77) % basophils 2( normal range 0-1%). meaning?

Means nothing: You are safe to ignore percentages of white cells altogether. Be concerned only with absolute counts. I often wish the percentages were not even reported.

That's fine: Reference ranges are set so that a few percent of healthies fall outside on either on either end. Your lymphocytes and basophils were on extra patrol that day. Relax and be glad they're working for you

Basophilia : This is considered high normal. Generally not a point of worry if no symptoms and the rest of the white counts are normal.

cbc with differential shows a wbc of 3.8 and basophils of 1.6. all other levels are within normal range. i feel great and have no symptoms of illness. should there be any initial cause for concern? thank you?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the data you provided is not a cause for concern.    Wish you good health!

1cm groin lymph node 3 mos cbc blood test normal ranges except rdw rbc 14.3 basophils 0.1/1.8%. problem?

No: Lymph nodes are your friends unless they're obviously abnormal, which seldom happens. Basophils need to be way off before they mean anything. With a high RDW, have your physician check to be sure you're not losing iron or not getting enough iron in your diet. I grew my groin nodes bigger than that just going barefoot in the summer. Yes: Yes it's normal.  Those cells are a subset of the total WBC count.  If your WBC count is low, that often needs follow.   Those two cell types are often elevated in people with asthma and allergies.  But there are causes as well.  No need for concern at all with those numbers at zero.

No/need stool sample: This is a near perfect blood smear result.  You'd need a stool sample to diagnose teniasis and possible biopsy of the infected area.  It's really important to get a visit and thorough exam from your doctor with practically definitive proof if this before starting a med like albendazole.  Good luck.

May be no need to: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, one does not treat lab results but the patient. Why did you mom have the tests done? Slightly raised eosinophil count does not need to be reduced if it is not causing any problem.
