Likely normal: Basophils are very rare in the blood. If found in a blood sample at all, they usually make up no more than 1% of the total white blood cells. Monocytes are found more frequently than basophils--about 5-10% of white blood cells. 0% monocytes is a bit low, but this can be normal variation. See your doctor; he/she may repeat the blood test or follow it over time to make sure everything is normal.

Having said that, this may be a transient phenomenon and if you do not have any symptoms, you may wait a few months to repeat the test. A common cause of increased basophil count is allergy.

See your doctor: Bruising may be related to blood count abnormalities, bleeding disorders, or to medications. Aspirin and other so-called non-steroidal antiinflammatory agents are common causes of easy bruising. Some people bruise easily with no obvious cause. An internist or a hematologist should be able to help sort this out..

my basophil count is raised at 0.04 and im 8 weeks pregnant. all other blood was ok apart from low tsh. any idea what could be causing this.

Still OK: This basophils is still too low and should not be a reason for concern unless there is other blood count abnormalities or is rising . We need to remember that there is lab variations that may account for some changes in blood counts between draws and labs.. I recommend repeat blood work in few months.

: They are not counts in majority of labs, specifically automated counts, but rather estimated percentages. That does not mean they are missing completely, they are too rare to count, which would still be normal.

Basophil: Basophils are one of the types of white cells in the blood.  They contain histamine and leukotriene which are released due to infection, inflammation or allergic reaction.  There are many reasons for elevated basophils and can be from any inflammatory condition.  Elevation in white cells is usually a transient finding.  Follow up with your doctor is recommended.

Maybe GERD: Could be gastresophageal reflux disease (GERD). Would need a 24 or 48 hour pH study, best if done off anti-acid medication, to find out. May also need upper endoscopy, upper GI contrast X-ray, and even esophageal manometry. I would see a gastroenterologist for a consultation to find out more. Hope this helps!

Any symptoms?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your basophil count per se is not a cause for concern.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
