Many: Most surgeons will provide you with a list but typical drugs to stop include blood thinners such as aspirin or non-steroidal drugs for 2 weeks, as well as many herbal supplements and excessive doses of fish oil or Vitamin E as well as alcohol and other certain foods. Other medications such as insulin or steroids may require adjustment.

Odor: I dont know if you are considering Nasonex (mometasone) as medication you are taking but it could give you an unplesant odor. Use saline irrigation to rid youself of the odor.

Nope.  Need a PS : Best way for breast augmentation is silicone or saline breast implants.    There are no medications that are effective.   Some plastic surgeons are injecting fat but this is not a widespread practice.    

Either way, i recommend you see a plastic surgeon for consultation.

i get the atorvastatin from my pharmacist with a prescription, for years. the pharmacist always gives me the pills lose in their small plastic container. how long the medication is good, from the manufacturing date before the expiry date?

: When stored at 5-30 degrees, is 24 months after date of manufacture.  Expiration date should be printed on label on bottle (at least in US)

can you dishwash an albuterol sulfate hfa inhaler? i know the plastic could melt but i have very bad allergies that only the dishwasher can stop and the inhaler is contaminated. also what is the most i can do with the medication canister itself? ty?

Accepted Answer

: The best way to decontaminate the HFA inhaler housing is to soak in a solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach in 1 quart of water. If there is obvious dirt or buildup, use a new toothbrush to brush the housing clean. the canister can also be immersed in the bleach solution. Do not put either in the dishwasher since it will melt and deform and will not be useable.

if uneven breasts are a result of hormonal imbalance, will hormone medication (to balance hormones) help breasts be symmetrical? ive had uneven breasts for as long as i can remember. uneven breasts and areolas. i want to avoid plastic surgery?

Accepted Answer

: The uneven issue is more a reduced sensitivity to the hormones by the tissues than that one side got more or less hormones than the other. I would not assume manipulating the hormones you take will make a difference. Consult a breast surgeon specialist with your concerns to discover your options.

Bandage : Speak with your surgeon for their recommendation as to when to remove the bandage. It depends on the type of surgery , location,  etc.

my cervix would not dilate to allow for an iud. he used a plastic sound, no drugs. i had cryotherapy on my cervix a few years ago. can i have an iud?

IUD/cryotherapy: Cryotherapy can cause scarring of the cervical canal, making the insertion of an IUD difficult.  Local anesthesia can reduce discomfort, but most clinicians can insert an IUD after dilation of the canal.

how do i clean a wound that plastic surgeon stitched up? got steristrips &ointment to put over steristrips. i want to clean surface before apply strip

Accepted Answer

Saline: Simple saline wash would be best unless you have access to some wound cleansers, most of which are similar to that anyway, but some have silver or other antimicrobials in them.  Would avoid betadine, iodine, peroxide, soap etc.
