Avoid the plant: It will spread wherever the plant has been in contact with your skin. Leave it open.

Topical steroid: You can get over the counter Hydrocortisone cream and apply it over the rash, it will take a couple of days to subside.

Tape: You are likely allergic to the glue used on the band aid, hence the rectangular shape.  Applying hydrocortisone without the tape on the rash will likely do the trick.

Keep it clean: Moisturize it if dry and chaffed, then apply hydrocortisone 1% OTC twice a day for few days, avoid the band aid, if that doesn't help see your doctor

Could but: It is better to take culture from the wound, as the band aid is likely to be contaminated with normal skin bacteria.

Accepted Answer

Oncovered generally: Once the area has granulation tissue and a scab is forming, or if you had stitches, and the area is clean, "opening it to air" with often promote faster healing.  Occluding with a band aid is important at first to keep dirt out of the area to avoid infection though.  Topical antibioitc creams are also recommended for wound healing and infection control. i took off my band-aid that was placed from when i got nexplanon 4 days ago. there was a bit of pus coming out?

Possible infection: I don't have experience with the Nexplanon, but pus (thick white to yellow discharge) most likely indicates some degree of infection, especially if the is associated redness, increased warmth,or any swelling around the area. If so, you should be seen ASAP to look at it and start antibiotics if necessary. Good luck

i have a dark mark on the side of my cheek. it happened to me when i popped a pimple and i applied a band-aid over it.

Let it be: The pigmentation will fade with time. Do not pop pimples, it just causes a bigger scar.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

May be: Most warts do go away on their own. Your body may be responding to the HPV and the warts may be disappearing. There are many strains of HPV and you should get vaccinated for HPV.

Leave it open: Why the bandaid? Allergy to tape and adhesive is common. Allergy to bacitracin, neomycin, neosporin, triple antibiotic is very common. It is 1 or more of these. Leave it open, wash, lubricate with vaseline (Aquaphor). Throw away the antibiotic ointment or antibiotic bandaid so no one will use again. Use Hydrocortisone cream to reduce itch and accelerate resolution of allergic dermatitis.
