what to do when my 11mos.old babies turns blue when crying?

See your doctor: Many infants between 9 months and 3 years old will have breath holding spells where they turn "blue" and can faint from holding their breath. These spells occur in response to pain  or anger - always. Some kids will have some blueness around the lips (not the lips themselves) when crying and this can be normal. I would have my child seen to be sure it is a breath holding spell & nothing concerning.

Keep him safe in car: At four months he is too young for a real temper tantrum. While he may get agitated by the car seat's restrictive environment, his safety in the car is paramount for him to be transported in any other way in the car. You may want to have someone else sit beside him not to make him so lonely.

Fall: You did not say if the baby was hurt at all. Crying after an episode like this may be just from the sudden movement.  If the baby is acting normal has no evidence of injury , did not hit its head, is moving all it's extremities, then the chances of anything significant is small. If this is not the case or if you have concerns take the baby to the ER to be evaluated

Not unusual.: It usually helps to rub up and down on the shin and calf muscles. Also, ibuprofen if lasting more than 10-15 minutes.  It seems more common after an increase in exercise, in kids with flat feet, or those who tend to sit with legs under them, but no studies to confirm.  Keep well hydrated with water.  If pain is present during the day, get it checked out.

Cramps: from your description, what you experienced most likely is a muscle cramps, which could be very painful.
make sure you drink a lot of fluid and Gatorade, eat banana and drink orange juice, they are rich in potassium, and that what you need.

Anti-inflammatory: Would pretreat your child with tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin prior to next shots and for 24-48 hours after.

Depends on cause: Is the pain from arthritis?  Bad shoes?  Heel spurs?  Claudication?  Myositis?  Fatigue because of the rigors of your job combined with obesity?  Start with a basic exam from your pcp.  When the cause has been narrowed down, s/he can either take care of the problem or direct you to the specialist/treatment that you need.  Good luck.    No one should have to deal with constant pain.

I would recommend: you take her to her pediatrician. It is difficult to diagnose a rash without seeing it. She may be crying and have a rash from a reaction to something she's eaten, but she may have an infection. Either way, it's best to have her seen to properly diagnose her and treat if necessary.

Possible : An appointment with your pediatrician is suggested. Growth pains are one possible cause but other causes of inflamed muscles and a possible sprain or fracture should be evaluated.Motrinmay be used with heat applied locally to relieve musculoskeletal pain.
