Relax: This to shall pass. Prepare for other strange items.It seems babies/toddlers use their sense of taste as part of exploring their world. The main items I worry about are drugs/button batteries and small magnets. Keep these away from baby and life will be easier.

: I would not consider an ingestion like this is worth any worry. You can use this as a learning event. Mouthing and ingesting are ways an infant samples/explores the world around them. Make an effort to assure yourself that small objects, fluids, etc. are not available to them if swallowing them is dangerous. Button batteries, rare earth magnets, bugs, screws, are all things we have had to remove

: Watchful waiting is sufficient. If she has pain in her stomach or difficulty eating/drinking, get seen right away.

Can show his doctor: If a baby or toddler swallows a small object, his doctor will want to know what the object looks like. For earrings, there are two and babies usually don't eat both, so the parent can show the other earring to the doctor. The doctor might order an x-ray if the swallowed object looks dangerous, but usually the object comes out in the poop. If a battery or a magnet is swallowed, it must be removed.

Probably not much: Probably not much though it would depend on the weight of the baby and strength of the pill. I'd be more concerned about the baby choking.

Not likely: the baby will likely pass the orange seed whole and it will not cause any problems.  if the baby ingested a fair amount of citrus he/ she may get diaper rash or diarrhea from acid in it.

Not that common: Button batteries are bad because the electric current does cause chemical burns in the GI tract. However, it usually only happens if the button is stuck somewhere. If a button keeps moving around and eventually out the anus, there may be no symptoms. Batteries that don't get stuck in the esophagus (and cause burns) usually pass through without burning any holes, but doctors do follow-up carefully.

should i wait it out or seek medical attention?

Baby swallowed some: Something is not good enough if it could have been a battery take to dr now.  Otherwise call your local poison control center.

Maybe: The problem with newborns is the overlap of several conditions that cause initial difficulties. Various germs that can enter the amniotic fluid can cause death within 24 hrs if not anticipated &amp; treated aggressively. I've seen it happen more than once. I would never try to 2nd guess those caring for your baby. It is wonderful that she is responding so well.
