Newborn: When you notice behavior in a child as young as one month of age, it is usually significant and important to have your pediatrician or a physicians see the child to determine if there are some underlying problems that are difficult to diagnose just by talking over the phone. There can be subtle infections that her present that would need immediate treatment.

There maybe a treatable condition, or a condition that needs to be addressed for your toddlers well being. It's important to note what this restlessness looks like, example would be if the toddler waking up coughing all night long vs having what looks like a seizure.

Restless: causes for infant crying can be multiple. Colic upper respiratory infection GERD but all the possibilities that could inhibit sleep. could be a sleep wake cycle problem related to it's newborn State versus being in utero.
