Candida: The antecubital and popliteal fossae  in young chubby babies are areas where they can get a candidal yeast infection due to humidity and wetness. You can use nystatin topically three times a day for 4 weeks.  Also important to keep the area dry, consider using vaseline to keep the area from getting wet.

my gestational sac is measuring 2 weeks behind babies crl at 16mm. the crl is perfect at 15mm and heart beat was 138 at 7w6d. there is only a 1mm difference between the 2 should i be worried?

Serial: measurements, every two weeks, can be compared to expected size increase over the two weeks.  Best time to confirm due date is a first trimester ultrasound, when the range is plus or minus a few days.

Doubt it: I suppose there are some birth defects like primordial dwarfism that may have such an pattern but not a normal infant. IUGR babies are small but develop arms/legs  at the same time. The 6 wk fetus has flipper like arms/legs that are distinctive while those past 8 wks have recognizable digits &amp; 12 wks are well formed.

Lactose : Lactose intolerance is the lack of an intestinal enzyme called lactase and is the inability to digest lactose - the sugar found in milk and other dairy products.  Babies are born with the lactase enzyme and most lactose intolerance does not occur until age 3 or older if at all.  Symptoms can be bloating, cramps, diarrhea, nausea and poor growth in children.  Some races such as asians and african americans are more susceptable to lactose intolerance than caucasians.

2%-3% of infants have milk allergy and the good news is that many of them outgrow in by 3-5 years of age.  Milk allergy is actually the body's immune system recognizing cow milk protein in the intestines as a foreign substance and causing symptoms like loose, sometimes bloody stool, irritability, vomiting and food refusal.  This usually occurs in the first few months of life.  The incidence of milk allergy is lower in breast fed babies than formula fed babies, but some babies react to the cow's milk protein transferred through the mother's milk from the dairy in the mother's diet.  Breast feeding is best and you can continue if you restrict or eliminate milk and dairy products from your diet.  Just make sure you are getting enough calcium from non-dairy sources!

Flu/Cold V/S Infuenz: Cold, runny nose, cough usually seasonal, viral. Home remedies: drink more fluid, saline nasal drop/spray 4-6 times/d and suck mucous with bulb syringe, humidifier or Vicks Vaporizer in room. 1 yr or old can have 1 teaspoon honey X2/day, reduce milk intake for 5-7 days.
Continue breast feeding. If high fever, fast/labored breathing see pediatrician to check for Influenza and treat accordingly.

Minimal: Of course you should request local anesthesia, for pain control. Theoretically there is risk of, bleeding with any surgical procedure, but if you have no family history of bleeding disorder in males, the risk  of bleeding is low.   Regarding infection, we use careful surgical technique to minimize this risk.    Best of luck!

Runner-stroller: Manny big stores carry the so-called runner-stroller (big wheels) designed for faster speed, thus you can use to push your infant along while running/exercising. Just make sure you find a path that is relatively smooth. You can also do treadmill, stationary bike, infront-of-tv activities at home while baby is asleep. If there is a will, there is a way--and u have the will. Consult doc. Good luck.
