im 47. went through menopause at 43. im experiencing menstrual like cramps. i also feel soreness &burning. i saw dr. she ordered ultrasound. she said there was atrophy on my cervix and vaginal wall & prescribed vagifem 10. is cramping from atrophy?

: Cramping is unlikely from atrophy.Atrophic vaginitis or atrophy or the cervix and endometrium is a normal part of aging and menopause due to the decrease in estrogen as you age and can be partially reversed with the supplemental estrogens. Cramping is a muscular reaction which is caused by uterine contractions to expel your shedding endometrium during your period. Try  NSaids like ALeve for cramps

Not usually: By this age, ectropion (often present since birth) is not changed by menopause.

No worries.: A small uterine fibroid is usually asymptomatic and is not dangerous.  A fibroid will usually shrink after menopause from decreasing estrogen levels.  Your endometrial stripe is also normal.  Nabothian cysts are also normal .  None of these findings pose any risk to your health.

what causes bleeding from the cervix after menopause? us shows endometrial thickening of 8mm and no change in fibroids. bleeding is from cervix.

Bleeding: Polyps both endocervical and prolapsed endometrial polyps, cervicitis (inflammation from infection), cervical cancer are some of the causes.  In your case I wouldn't expect to see an 8mm endometrium at age 60, so I'm concerned about possible hyperplasia.  Trauma from sex can cause cervical and vaginal bleeding as well from atrophy.

can i use estrace (estradiol) for atrophy if i carry the braca2 mutation? hysterectomy but still have ovaries and cervix.

Quality of life: If your quality of life would improve dramatically while using estrace (estradiol) for atrophy, it may be worth the risk of promoting breast cancer.

Probably : I think its signs of menopause.  See your gynecologist to examine and of course do a pap smear. If vaginal dryness is the only problem there are some local creams ( premarin) that may keep you comfortable for a while.

Estrogen Cream/Oral: The post menopausal vaginal atrophy is caused by drop in estrogen.The only way you can treat is by using estrogen cream locally or Hormonal Replacement.But some can not use it because of history of breast cancer.Ask your doctor if you are a candidate for estrogen therapy as local cream or vaginal tablets, in which there is very little absorption in the blood or oral estrogen therapy
