Kidney thickening: Not aware of the acronym "DS", but any abnormal finding in a fetus by ultrasound should be followed by another sonogram in a few weeks to establish any progression.  Consult an expert in maternal fetal medicine to review the pictures. This will prepare the pediatrician for action upon delivery if necessary.

Not sure: Ct with and without xray dye is a good test for some kidney problems.  Not sure what you mean by thickening.  Ct shows kidney stones, masses, kidney size/location ; can give a good idea of whether the kidneys are working well.  Ct is also good at showing the site of blockage of urine flow, when present.

Lesions in lung: YES! But need much more information. BP/ Where do you live? Histoplasmosis country? Blood in your urine? How old are you? Why was the scan done? Any known cancer? Happy to consult as I specialize in adrenal problems. Be worried!!!

No practical alarm..: The findings of kidney cysts and lobulated outline pose no practical risk to you unless you have family history of adult polycystic kidney disease with hypertension. At most, get an kidney ultrasound for follow-up on renal cysts in 2-3 yrs; if benign, further follow-up is not warranted. But, in doubt? Ask doctor timely.

about 6 mm, flat and under skin, black and asymmetrical spot on skin. noticing for 1-2 days. not changed in size or shape. one color. on upper hip (on kidney area). is it melanoma? or is it benign. i wish i could add a photo.

Watch it: You may watch and wait. If the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor.

No Worries: this is an incidental finding, doesn't really mean anything.  If your doctor is concerned about it he will follow it with serial ultrasounds.  You have enough to worry about being pregnant having diabetes and dealing with life's ever changing challenges.  Congratulations on your upcoming child!

had a cat scan yesterday for a history of kidney cancer and they found diffuse bladder wall thickening due to underdistention. should this be investigated?

: Underdistended bladder on ct scan can show a pattern simulating bladder wall thickening and mimic bladder cancer. Your urologist is best to advise whether further bladder evaluation, such as a complete ultrasound, is advisable or not.
