Supplements/postop: Best to ask your chosen surgeon this! But I prefer my private patients to return to supplements at 2 weeks post. BUT in the case of these two - Bromeliad/arnica montana I allow their use right after surgery.

Yes, but: That is one routine. Most important: Ask your facial plastic surgeon his/her preferences for your herbal medications.

Arnica/Bromelein: I recommend in my private pre op patients BUT you really need to ask your chosen surgeon his/her recommendations....

my son is 12 weeks old and is having surgery tomorrow.  he isn't to have fluids except for pedialyte, but i don't know the appropriate dosage .

Pedialyte: Give him the same amount of pedialyte you would normally  give him in milk. That is about 5-6 ounces. Good luck!

Post-op jaw surgery: The surgery produces soreness in the muscles, jaw, as well as the lips, nose and other areas of the face, it can be difficult eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth. The pain will usually disappear within 2 to 3 weeks. Remember, postsurgical progress is sometimes uncomfortable, and may occur slowly. Follow the instructions given to you by your surgeon. Take care.

i'm about to have knee surgery and need to lose weight. can i take fat burners to aid in weight loss if i take half the recommended dosage?

They do not work: The best approach involves motivation and discipline. Minimize carbohydrates, control portion size and calories, no snacking , etc.

hi, my doctor has given me clomid but i have a doubt: i had a surgery to part remove the thyroid and i take levothyroxine 50mg every day. i read that clomid works on fsh, will it effect my levothyroxine dosage or will i get some sort of imbalance?

Not likely,: any new issue with the thyroid from clomid. This increases the FSH,  to stimulate the ovaries,  TSH works on the thyroid gland, not much cross reaction.

esi didnt work. physical therapy is making the pain worse. prescriptions arent helping even though i double the dosage. c5-6 3mm herniation pressing on c6 nerve root and thecal sac. c7 1-2mm anular bulge. what type of surgery should i do?

: Consult a neurologist for an evaluation and to determine if surgery is needed.

does passive smoking of pot count towards thc count pre operation if i'm to under go surgery. specifically inguinal hernia surgery but the tests are the same. also will it affect the anaesthesia dosage that i'm to get before the operation?

: It depends on the amount of exposure to it. Chances are that it is not much and you should be fine. But try to avoid  even passive exposure. Good luck with your surgery.
