Need work up: You need to be evaluated in person by a physician for adequate treatment to begin. That could include a neck xray,  palpation for trigger pains in the neck muscles,  shoulder and arm muscles as well as checking for carpal tunnel syndrome.   The doctor may try trigger point injections,  a referral to physical therapy and possibly an MRI of the neck.

See your doctor for a complete evaluation including brain MRI, TMJ eval, cervical spine eval and blood coagulation testing to determine your status and risks for future events

Any burning, cold, tingling, painful jolt, or crawling sensation could be the result of improper stimulation of these nerves = parasthesia. If this is a recurring sensation or you have strange sensations in multiple areas, it might be time to see a neurologist. They can do nerve testing and determine the underlying cause.
