See personal trainer: As we age some exersises may be easier to do to maintain and improve muscle tone.A good personal trainer can help here.A trainer can see if you are able to do simple curls/triceps extensions for your arms; hamstring curls and easy leg press or slr's for your legs.Squats can be difficult for buttocks and an ellyptical machine might be better.Many other exersises can be done @home and he/she can adv.

i've went to dr. and he told me that i have a beginning of golf elbow. what is it ? what precautions i should take? and when can i go bk to the gym?

Opposite of: Tennis elbow .Inflamed soft tissue around the epicondyle (  inside/golfers, outside/tennis).One needs to stop the activity that is causing the inflammation in the first place .This likely involves some mechanical adjustment in form.Give it time to heal...No more pain.

Elbow pads: For older folks they should work on balance for fall prevention.  For an active younger population  use elbow pads when skateboarding, roller blading, or at high risk for fall.

a nurse just told me a depo-provera provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot is more effective in the buttock than it is in the arm. i've always gotten it in the arm though. is she right?

Wrong: Depo provera (medroxyprogesterone) can be given in the arm or buttocks with the same effectiveness.

Tennis elbow: Be careful lifting weights. Use low weights to start and wear a tennis elbow strap. Any pain stop. Also look online to get tennis elbow stretching exercises.

i have 3 blue spots under my skin one on my arm on outer thigh and on buttock they are sore when pressed on been there for years what could they be ?

Many things: Acute or sudden blue painful spots can be due to bruising. They can come from systemic issues ( like liver, etc), hemaniomas  and other things both "bad and not so bad". I would get a further evaluation with more testing . I woul imagine that the fact they have been there for a long time suggests the probably represent nothing serious... Not i would still get them checked out.

i have itch on my arms, legs, and buttock cheeks for a few months after i delivered my baby.  there is no rash on the skin at all.  what could it be?

Itchy skin: Itching without a rash can be due to dry skin,thyroid disorder, diabetes,etc. If it's dry skin,apply alphakeri lotion after bathing while your skin is still wet. See your physician if symptoms persist and he/she will order the appropriate tests. Claritin (loratadine) or benadryl(causes drowsiness) helps reduce itching.

Needs a look: Unexplained numbness is a concern...Could be several causes...Neurological/orthopedic issues could be involved..I would strongly recommend that you see your family doc for an evaluation and possible referral for further evaluation and treatment..

What is harayama?: My apologies, but what is harayama?  Pain and muscle wasting often correlates with nerve compression.  Depending on what muscles are affected and where the pain is, you may have nerve compression.  For an arm, nerve compression often occurs at the wrist (median nerve), elbow (ulnar nerve) or upper arm (radial nerve).

sharp pain in buttock, changes sides also intermittent pain in legs, feet and neck/arms.  what could cause this? my dr says is virus. how can i treat?

NO enough history: I can only reference what you have told us. If this is viral , it should pass soon. You might want to consider the use of NSAID such as ibuprofen or naproxen.  Do not take these with aspirin or any other type of pain reliever. The other thing is do not take if you have ulcers. Follow the stated directions on the bottle.
