Vitamins: A good multivitamin is a good idea.  It's like an insurance policy for when we don't eat right, don't sleep well, or are especially stressed.  Go to a good store or get some guidance because the popular brands are typically very week and not helpful.  The dose (read label and check that half or more of the ingredients are several 100 % above RDA.  See doc or nutritionist to test vitamin levels.

From whole foods: There is no comparison between digesting your vitamins in their natural state from whole foods than in supplement form. No comparison as whole foods are far nutritionally superior and better digested and processed by your gut bacteria. Also, much healthier as surrounded by co-factors and other synergistic nutrients.

Program? Better vits: Not sure what you mean by "program." the degree to which one benefits from vitamins depends on their diet. Most americans are deficient in several vits ; minerals but it's possible to get most from a healthy diet (except vit d). Studies show limited benefit from centrum but that's because it is poor quality ; has toxins. A quality multivit. Is likely to prevent disease. See

Yes, each vitamin: has a different half-life or time they stay in your body.  Just take the multivit once daily.  Look for a good brand w/about half the ingerdients several hundred times more than the recommended daily allowance.  Many have just enough ingredient levels to make it legal to put the ingredient on the label.  Peace and good health.

Talk w/ your doctor: If properly designed clinical trials have not evaluated it, and/or if the only data is what's listed on the bottle, a website, or a book, then probably not. Many supplements are advertised as helpful (ginko biloba for example), but well designed trials did not find any benefit. Also, "natural" treatments can still have side effects. It's best to discuss any products with me at an office visit.

Not recommended: First, research has recently shown that large doses of vitamin c doesn't really have that big an effect on preventing or shortening symptoms of the common cold or other illnesses.  Second, taking large doses of vitamin c can lead to the development of kidney stones.  As such, the max i usually recommend is about 2000 mg/day. What your body doesn't need is just excreted.

All good: There is no preferred brand of PNV's.  They are all adequate.  Probably the best one for any individual is one that she can tolerate well.  It is important to have the necessary vitamins and minerals in the diet during pregnancy so some type of vitamin is recommended - but not any specific one.

Lot of benefits: B vitamins may help alz.Disease (ad) by:
b1 may help in making & presynaptic release of acetylcholine.
B1 deficiency may increase deposit of amyloid-beta protein in ad brains.
B2 with zinc and taurine can help in progression of ad.
B3 may stop damage to the dna in ad neurons.
B6 may improve brain function by inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase enzyme.
B12 may prevent ad.
