No: Unless you have just had your pacemaker inserted.  You should wait 2 weeks post insertion.  You should avoid prolonged exposure and dehydration, but this is no particular to individuals with pacemakers.

Pacemaker problems: Pacemaker problems can be categorized based on the timing since, or during, implantation.  They can vary between infections requiring removal, malfunctions, discomfort, and adverse effects from an otherwise normally functioning pacemaker.

Accepted Answer

There are many: Early: bleeding into the pacemaker pocket / infection, lead dislodgment, perforation, arrhythmias.
Late: infection, arrhythmias, pacemaker malfunction

anytime: pacemaker syndrome (also known as av dyssynchrony syndrome)

symptoms may not improve if the indication for pacemaker insertion were soft or not really present.  This is not uncommon.

Yes: You need to be hand screened -- and remember to tell them when you arrive. It will set them off -- and that will just delay you. You will be hand-screened or searched. The microwave technology does not do a good job determining what the pacemaker is, although it is getting better.

Risky: It's risky and should only be attempted by centers with experience doing this type of replacement and with emergency capability if there are complications.

Check something else: If you have had a regular pacemaker clinic and everything is working properly and no evidence of pacemaker mediated tachycadia then you need to look into other reasons for the shortness of breath -- please talk with your doctor!

ive been diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia. i was prescribed midodrine. i was told the tachycardia is a reaction and they think its from low blood pressure. is this dangerous? pacemaker? heart problems?

: Inappropriate sinus tachycardia is not a dangerous condition and would not need a pacemaker. Your doctor would have performed an echocardiogram to rule out any heart problems. 
I will suggest keeping a daily BP and heart rate log so your doctor can assess you better.
Would encourage to hydrate well, consume balanced diet and exercise.

No: Cardiac pacemakers maintain and encourage normal heart rhythms, and are used to treat abnormal heart beat patterns.  The vagus nerve is stimulated by a vagal nerve stimulator used over the left vagus, which does not have cardiac innervation, and this device helps control seizures.

Wouldn't : Recommend a tattoo anywhere near icd.

husband on chronic medicine for heart problem. has a pacemaker. he get dizzy spell and had one just now. what could be the cause of this?

Additional problem?: Although potential cause for dizziness could be cardiac dysrhythmia, a co-morbidity affecting blood flow to cerebrovascular system could also be considered, and risk of stroke should be ruled out.  Alternatively, inner ear problems may be the culprit.  Your doctors can sort this out.
