Working together with a neurologist and family doc to stablize your medical conditions and a service from a speech pathologist/language specialist can be helpful in training to use language for communication again etc..It's a very difficult process and frustrating because adult brain is not easy to work with. Stroke: Perhaps you mean "aphasia", an impairment of language ability?  Someone who's had a stroke, who has a brain tumor, or even CNS infection may show confusion and aphasia.   There are several types of aphasia -- such as  expressive, where the person understands what's said but cannot articulate; and receptive, where nothing is understood. Selective impairments of reading or writing can happen too.

Not common: There are many causes for aphakia.  The most common in younger persons is trauma and trauma enough to require the removal of the lens, occasionally affects the outflow of the eye leading to elevation of eye pressure and this is glaucoma.  Other causes are surgically related in connection with cataract removal.  But many cases of aphakia do not develop secondary glaucoma.
