A member asked:

What dr do you see for aphagia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neurologist/speech: Aphasia is an acquired disorder due to damage commonly a consequence of stroke. Working together with a neurologist and family doc to stablize your medical conditions and a service from a speech pathologist/language specialist can be helpful in training to use language for communication again etc..It's a very difficult process and frustrating because adult brain is not easy to work with. Good luck.
