Avoiding : Avoiding aspirin, nsaids and other products that "thin the blood" will help minimize bruising.

No: Unless patients are getting sedation, there are no food/drink restrictions before a lumbar puncture.  Usually only local anesthesia (via an injection) is needed.

Yes: Fasting of solid foods, plenty of water, don't pee.

We : We provide patients with a page long list of medications to avoid. However, for the most point this consists of herbal supplements, blood thinning agents, nsaids, aspirin, and other drugs known to have adverse anesthetic reactions. A healthy high protein diet with multivitamin supplementation is always good. Avoidance or cessation of tobacco use for at least 1 month prior to surgery is also suggested.

BE preparation: The radiologist will want to have your colon cleansed thoroughly before the procedure.
The exact type of preparation varies but the principle is the same.
Cleaning the colon will result in more accurate pictures.
If not cleaned, residual stool may obscure the real problem or lead to confusion that it may be a tumor/cancer...

Bacitracin ointment: You can use that for nasal vestibulitis twice a day for 10 days. See ENT doctor if sores persists.

MRI: No fasting is needed for your MRI. Be sure to take your usual medications( if any) on schedule. Your ordering physician should direct the radiologist to pay special attention to any areas of concern and list any pertinent symptoms on the ordering sheet.

: Most of the time, you would not need any fasting or special preparation prior to either of those tests, but if the Doctor Who is ordering the tests requests you to prepare yourself in a certain way, you should follow through with that. The doctor should explain in detail how to prepare for it. If not, you should call them. Good luck.

double red cell donation preparation. any tips?

Nothing specific: Eat well 1-2 d prior (red meat and/or dark leafy greens good choices), hydrate well shortly before donation appointment. Continue to hydrate and eat well for 1-2 d after. Return cycle feels a little cool, other than that and using pheresis machine, not too much different feeling than 'regular' donation. Thanks!!
