Work not worry: Worry doesn't get anything done. It suggests you should find a life coach/therapist. They can confirm or exclude the issue and help you work on ways to get past them if true. I used such a tool in my practice to screen teens and refer them to therapists when positive.

Lab tests for anxiet: Most doctor's diagnose anxiety and or depression per history as well as filling out a questionnaire.  Yes serotonin may be involved but this is most likely an expensive unneeded lab test that is rarely used.

Avoiding social situ: Depression : depressed mood, lack of interest , anhidonia, poor concentration, lack of sleep  or sleeping too much, poor appetite or eating too much , guilt feeling psychomotor agitataion or retaradation and suicidal ideation.

Only w/ advice: Seek an experienced, qualified Clinical Psychologist to do an eval and to see if you have a good fit for working together. If they think meds will help they can refer for that. They can work w/ you on skills to deal w/ these symptoms and styles. Try not to put too much focus on Dx words. It's living well that you'll want to achieve.

Chest pain/dyspnea: While there are some causes for somatic pains related to anxiety, it's rare. You should get chest X-rays also to make sure there isn't something involving your lungs, and pulmonary function tests. Do you wheeze at all or is it associated with eating anything? Heart attack in 17 y/o is very rare

: Cognitive behavioral therapy with a trained Counsellor/psychotherapist can often be the most helpful thing, but SNRI meds like venlafaxine &amp; escitalopram, or SSRI meds like sertraline &amp; fluoxetine are usually 1st line therapy. Spiritual Counselling with prayer &amp; Bible reading can also help. Our world is very stressful, especially with COVID added in!

Chest pain: For peace of mind consult a cardiologist for an evaluation and appropriate testing. If your symptoms are then thought to be due to stress and anxiety, I believe stress management therapy would be beneficial. If depression is a concern, I recommend consulting a psychiatrist as you shouldn't try to fight through it on your own as it can spiral out of control.

Yes. : Anxiety can cause panic attacks where you feel like you are having a heart attack. Others just get the feeling they can’t breathe. I know a few people who faint during their anxiety atttacks and have had many normal ECGs and ER visits. You should see a therapist and consider medication for your anxiety.

Anxiety &amp; Depression: I would recommend that you consult a psychologist experienced in treating social anxiety disorder and depression, utilizing cognitive behavioral psychotherapy  (CBT).  It is unlikely that you will get better on your own.  Ask your physician for a recommendation or consult your local university for names of qualified psychotherapists.  Medications can help, but not cure you. Get help soon!

DEPRESSION: Absolutely! Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what depression/anxiety means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.
