Feeling lightheaded or dizzy is one of a variety of other sensations which might be experienced.
  Whether you are feeling anxious in general or you experienced a panic attack, the following suggestions may prove helpful.  The first issue to address is how much time you spend on the internet.  Reduce your computer time if it is excessive.   Ensure that  internet use is not preventing you from  aerobically exercising at least thirty minutes, 3 to 5  times per week.  Avoid caffiene and nicotine as they may exacerbate your anxiety. Try to go to bed at the same time each night and aim for seven to nine hours of sleep per night.  Eat regular balanced meals. "deep breathing exercises" and "progressive muscle relaxation"  may be especially helpful.  You can look for  cd's or books on this subject in the self help section of your bookstore or at the library.  Try  to stop focusing on the upsetting episode. Thinking about it too much, is likely to make you feel more anxious.   Your physician can evaluate you for possible causes of your anxiety and based on his or her evaluation, may make other recommendations to reduce your anxiety while you are waiting to see the therapist in february.
