Many options...: Please see your eye doctor for an eye exam to see the cause of the scratched cornea, as well as the appropriate treatment.  There are more than 20 possible antibiotic eye drops that can be used, but your eye doctor has to determine the extent of the injury, and whether a bandage contact lens or additional therapy is required.  As well, the frequency of antibiotic drops may change based on the exam.

Conjunctivitis : The bottle has medication that treats the same infection that you have in the eye. You can wipe off the tip and continue to use the same bottle.

i am using fml for dry eye due to mgd, i have a prolensa eye drops which expried 2 yrs ago.i put the prolesna eye drops & rinsed out after 5 min with eye wash.i am concerned as i am using fml drops, my eye may not fight the bacteria frm prolensa?

Expired drugs should: be discarded immediately for your own safety. Prolensa is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) that (like all NSAID class drops) has the potential to compromise the cornea. Though much lower potential than the older generation NSAID's, you should still be monitored by your Ophthalmologist closely. FML (fluorometholone) is a mild steroid that also has the potential for adverse effects and should be monitored.

Pink eye: Given your reported problems I strongly recommend that you have someone take you to the nearest Emergency facility as soon as possible.

: Bacterial conjunctivitis in rare in healthy adults, unless you are a contact lens user.  The pus that you see is normal mucus the eye makes to hold on to aqueous tears.  This is often seen in patients with dry eyes who do not drink sufficient fluids.

hi, im covid positive with my only symptoms being a moderate headache for 4 days and then pinkeye. ive used vigamoxi eye drops 3x a day for 7 days and its much better but i feel not 100% gone yet.  can i use them for a couple of more days ? thanks

Should be enough: Pink eye can have two different causes. One is bacterial which typically responds to the Antibiotic eye drops in 3-4 days. The other is viral, which will not respond to the antibiotic eye drops, but will clear by itself in 10-14 days. 7 days of antibiotic eye drops should have cleared it if it was bacterial. Since Covid is a virus-most likely a viral conjunctivitis and will resolve on its own.
