Not yet available: Anthrax is a bacterial infection which can be weaponized. Currently the vaccine is only available to the military. It is treated with ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic. The us government. Has a stockpile of Cipro 'just in case'.  The biggest, but still very rare, antrhax threat to civilians is from drums made of animal hides (esp. Goats) in other countries. The usda & cdc websites have info about this.

Yes - it is safe.: In the us the anthrax vaccine for humans is acellular.  Although about 1% of people have a significant reaction it is not transmittable/communicable.

It is safe: Anthrax vaccine is used for military personnel and laboratory workers.  Some experience mild discomfort at the vaccine site- redness, tenderness, itching etc. About 10% develop some fatigue.

Inhalational Anthrax: Symptoms of inhalational anthrax include: fever, sore throat, muscle pain ; fatigue which can evolve into respiratory problems or shock after a few days.  However, please be aware that anthrax infections are rare in this country and are most likely to occur in someone who has higher risk job (such as woolsorters or people who work with animal hides or horns). Intentional bioterrorism w anthrax is.
