Nerve: I believe that This positional symptom represents impingement of either a nerve root exiting the spine caused by a bulging intervertebral disc or a pinching of a superficial nerve at the level of the groin or hip depending upon which portion of the thigh is involved.. A neurologist can evaluate you and order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis and advise you of treatment options.

Left sided chest pai: You did not give your age left sided chest pain which is worse on walking suggests that you may have angina pectoris, which is caused by partial blockage of coronaro arteries due to elevated  cholesterol over the years called atherosclerosis, when you do any kind of exertion heart needs more oxygen and due to the blockage you get chest pain.It is a serious symptom and you need to see a cardiologist.

They sound neurologi: Since on one side it does  suggest neurologic. It depends why you had the nerve  block as to whether there  may be a relationship to that  cause  or from the nerve  block. You need to discuss with your physician.

?MERALGIA?: Doubt MRI findings are cause, and epidural is not indicated unless radiculopathy.  Was EMG complete?  Did it examine both femoral nerve and lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of thigh?  If not, does not rule out meralgia paresthetica, which may be your answer.  Have conference with your doctor.
