Bunion : Hallux valgus is a fancy way to say you have a bunion.  A congruent ankle joint means it appears normal on that view of the X-ray.

Possibly: any question that starts with a "Could" is possible. Often a 'valgus' foot has a high arch and that would show in a footprint, like an impression in the sand. If it is flexible valgus foot, you could have a normal footprint.

Bunion: think you mean hallux valgus.  depends where pain is, could be from sesamoids, big toe joint, crowding of second toe, bunion itself, or shoe wear...perhaps all of the above.  don't know your age or other history but if no contraindications to surgery, see foot surgeon to discuss removing bunion and correcting valgus toe...if all goes well should address all problems I mentioned above.

Relative risks: associated with any major surgery. If your surgeon has recommended an Evans procedure then you should be a good candidate for correction. The biggest risk is improper healing of the graft placed. Follow all f the post operative instructions and you should do well.

i had a hallus valgus surgery 6 months back. the foot still pains, after soccer or after getting out of my shoes. is this normal?

Yes: Unfortunate but this is very hard to treat in most people.  I have many patients who have had the surgery and almost none are pain free.  Many however are better than before and i don't know how bad it would have been without the surgery.

No one: Although these conditions may be painful, they are treatable with nonsurgical means.  I understand your frustration, but leg amputation is not the answer (you can ask any injured veteran or diabetic amputee).  I hope you seek out guidance and help, face to face with a physician or therapist.  Good luck.

PTTD: Possible posterior tibial tendon dysfunction which could cause symptoms. See podiatrist for biomechanical examination possible orthotics or corrective surgery.

hi! what does "there is hallux valgus at the metatarsus adductus." mean? they are both deformities? why do i get reoccurring right foot pain w/ physical activity. two past injuries (rt foot): 1 metatarsal fracture. 2 no fracture but tons of swelling

Deformities: Hallux=great toe; valgus=points outward from the center of the body. Metatarsals= the bones of the front of the foot; adductus= points inward toward the center of the body. The deformities lead to a distortion of weight bearing on the foot. Such a distortion may or may not give pain but increased activity amplifies the likelihood. Running can briefly place 6X your body weight on the foot.

i have waited a week to see if my ankle would get better but it hasnt . my ankle is hurting, idk if its sprained or broken ?

: An exam would be necessary. Depending on the circumstances at the time the pain started, trauma/non-trauma all possibilities have to be considered. Your doc will be able to examine and order test as needed in order to formulate a diagnosis and proper management.
