BAPS: I would recommend physical therapy and baps exercises. This stands for balance and proprioception. Go and buy a wobble board and start working with that. Otherwise there are some theraband exercises that pt can teach you (maybe you can find them on google).

Get evaluated: A torn ligament in your ankle will present itself with pain and swelling, similar to an ankle sprain or fracture. When you get evaluated, the physician may manipulate your ankle to test for torn ligaments. Examples of these tests are the anterior draw or stress inversion. While torn ligaments have similar characteristics as stretched out ligaments, imaging studies like MRI may be used to diagnose.

Q: i have severely damaged ligaments in ankle. doctors, do you have an opinion?

Depends: It really depends on your symptoms. Ankle instability is treated nonoperatively with ankle supports and possibly physical therapy. If nonoperative management fails, surgery is sometimes recommended to stabilize the ankle.

One of two ways: We grade torn ligament to three levels. 1-grade 1. 2-grade 2. 3-grade 3. The first two usually are treated non surgical, by cast or brace for about 4-6 weeks. The third one usually treated surgically. .
