Lace up or boot: An ankle lace up brace can give a limitless more support, an air cast offers more support and has two firm straps that run up each side of the leg and is easily removable. Don't hesitate to discuss with your md.

what's the best advice when returning back to horse riding after 7+ months off due to ankle trauma and also now asthmatic. medication for the asthma is still changing to control it at present time?

Resume gradually: I would certainly start off gradually and then reevaluate.  An ankle support would initially be a good consideration as well.  Have an inhaler with you in case you need it as well.

Few possibilities: Are you still taking pain medication because of the ankle trauma?  Narcotic pain medication can cause respiratory problems (known as respiratory depression), especially if you are taking it regularly.  Another possibility is pulmonary embolism, caused by a blood clot that travels through the blood stream into the lungs--lastly, the asthma could be exacerbated either from the stress or meds...

Pain: if you had injury to ankle could have injured hip.  You probably need to be seen

Venous insufficiency: Swelling of the ankle without trauma is likely inability of the veins to pump blood back to the heart,  as a result blood pools and the ankle swells.  Use a compression stocking and see if the swelling reduces.

Tendonitis: At your age, tendonitis of the medial tendons of the ankle (Tib Posterior, Flex Dig. Long., Flex Hall. Long)  Also consider arthritis (rare at your age).  Fallen arches can also cause medial ankle pain.  Wearing shoes with little arch support common cause. Best to see Sports Med or Ortho foot doc or podiatrist for evaluation. Hope this helps. Dr R

Leg spots: Additional information would be helpful. Do the lesions hurt, does the color blanch out when you press on them, are they raised, are they getting larger?

Heart, Liver, Kidney: Disease and decreased function as well as increased salt intake, stopping diuretics, will all lead to swelling, but usually involve both legs.  One side, maybe from pressure on the veins draining that side. Do you have any swelling in the groin/belly on that side? 
Worth a visit to the doctor.

i have pain in my ankle without a bruise. this comes and goes. it's sensitive to touch like a bruise but i have not had any form of trauma to the area?

Support: Inadequate foot support can lead to excessive strain on muscles, joints and ligaments.Try more supportive shoes, inserts, ice/heat. Is there swelling? Ankle support may help. If persists, see ankle specialist.

i have a bone sticking out my inner right ankle. no trauma but i do have hypermobile ankles. ?

Loosey Goosey.: With hyper-mobility come "things sticking out". I venture to say that the bone is a protrusion of the talus.  It is a simple matter of consulting with a foot/ ankle specialist to evaluate the ankle and address any issues.
