False Positive: Most tests done in motion are less than 100% accurate. Also there are certain drugs you might be taking that can cause a test that shows positive for amphetamines. Certain cold medicines particularly Sudafed would test positive for amphetamines.

An extended: Period of time. Most patients reach a new baseline which is probably not normal. Therapy is tapered slowly. We never start before 1 year or longer if response is continuing to improve.

Drug reaction: Refractory anemia has no impact on your  question. the medications you mention usually used for migraine..any medications in the world have side effects to small percentage of the patients and the majority usually benefit from the medications. if you are afraid of the side effects, you may not be able to use any medications at all
