See below: Headaches are not normal. The cause is not easy to determine without additional history and physical examination. These may be due to tension and one way of getting around tension is by exercise. You may wish to start exercising, first thing in the morning. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

If you are anemic...: For any reason, it is correctable, either through transfusion or correcting the cause of the anemia. The latter is preferable provided the patient is hemodynamically stable. If your anemia reflects blood loss following miscarriage and d&c, that blood loss was also accompanied by fe loss.  Depending on your status prior to the event, you may need fe supplement to replete stores. Good luck to you.

Probably not: The trouble with that answer is that pregnancy demands the best possible physical and metabolic status. Please remember that you are feeding a rapidly growing infant whose wellbeing is on your shoulders.

Low Probability: Mthfr - methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase deficiency - has created debate among doctors. Heterozygous means you have one normal copy of the gene and one mutated. Some, but not all believe it is associated with miscarriages.  B12 deficiency, pernicious anemia, is usually due to inability to absorb b12, but can happen in strict vegetarians. Likely only B12 would be low and not other b vitamins.

so i had a miscarriage in january. since then i have mild shooting pains in my pelvic area, not enough so i double over in pain but it's annoyin. i've been tested for celiac,anemia and ovarian cancer but all fine. had us but all fine! please help?

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.  It is good to start with an Obgyn and they can arrange a step by step approach to determining the cause and treatment

Blood counts: While as you know those blood counts are not within normal ranges, however all may be related to your incomplete miscarriage. You should go to follow up with your doctor and have some evaluation- including iron level. If your iron is low- you should take some supplement. There are other things also to exclude especially if those abnormalities have been there even before your miscarriage.

No: Just make sure you are taking your prescribed medications to treat the anemia.

Accepted Answer

No: It's common, very common, for women to have some anemia such as you have.  If you take an iron pill with citric acid (orange juice to increase absorption) you should be fine. You can also try to increase iron by eating iron rich foods. It's always better if you can, to eat iron rich foods than take supplement. But will not increase risk for miscarriage or hurt baby unless hgb.

Spotting : Spotting can occur during pregnancy with implantation of the fetus into the placenta.  However if a woman had heavy spotting or bleeding, cramping, passed any tissue, had fever, or continued spotting then it may be a miscarriage.  Let your gynecologist know that this has happened so that they can monitor the situation.

3d after major abdominal surgery, vaginal spotting (mid-cycle), dizzy, nauseous, feel like passing out. ovu/bd 5d ago. miscarriage or anemia(hgb=8.5)?
