More time: Were you started on Amoxicillin for a respiratory infection?  It will take longer to "feel" better or for you to notice the symptoms improving.  Two days is not enough time for the medicine to get into your system to start fighting off the bacteria.  Keep taking your antibiotics as prescribed as well as any other treatment your provider suggested.  If no relief in 4-5 days then return

Yes: In fact, this is close to the usual dose for your age,  however a bacterial infection is an unlikely cause for your acute asthma which may require a short-course of Prednisone if not controlled with bronchodilator and Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is not likely to do any good unless you have a sinus infection at the same time.

i am 55 , 5 -7 peak flow was 480',i am currently taking augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) 875 and 10 mg of prednisone since monday 12/2214. i have had asthma since 1988.

Symptoms now?: The peak flow does not seem to be very bad, of course it all depends on your usual baseline when asthma is not acting up, also your height( in order to calculate expected). If you are feeling better finish your medication as prescribed. If not better at all follow up with your doctor for reevaluation and determine the need for alternative or more treatment.

Followup: Certainly would want to followup with your doctor.  Could be medication related, but could also be that the respiratory problem is not yet "cured" and may need further treatment.

If you have peak: flow meter, and it is less than green zone after you have done all these treatments as prescribed, then you need to go to ER.  You likely have been maximized on medications outside of the hospital at this point.  You may need more aggressive treatments, including nebs, racemic epi or magnesium and IV meds.  Please go to ER ASAP.

i am on prednisone & augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) for bronchitis & a sinus infection. i have such a congested horrible cough. im also an asthmatic. is there any remedies or otc meds that would help the congested cough?

Not really: But the Prednisone should kick in soon and tou should have an inhaler.  I would consider daily singular which works for asthma and allergy symptoms.  If u need ur inhaler more than 2x per week you need more treatment and singular is excellent if you respond.  Gd luck.

hi i'm asthmatic and i've had 2 courses of antibiotics, amoxicillin and doxycycline plus 2 x steroids. my chest is really tight and im still wheezing ?

Antibiotics: Do not treat asthma. Asthma is treated depending on severity with bronchodilators and inhaled steroids. You should have pulmonary function testing done to verify your diagnosis, with repeat PFTs after albuterol.
