Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, If you have had a persistently elevated bilirubin without any symptoms, the likely explanation is Gilbert's disease, which is essentially harmless. Beyond that you require additional history, physical examination and may be additional tests.

gallbladder removed 3/6. before and after surgery alt/ast were high but otherwise normal in the past. my last test on 3/17 had my alt 205 & ast 137. alk phos and bilirubin normal. hepatitis negative. us & ct scan normal. elevation related to surgery?

: Gallbladder surgery usually does not cause the liver test to become abnormal. You need an ultrasound to look at your common bile duct to be sure that there are no stones in it. You also need some liver evaluation to be sure that there is not an underlying liver problem. See your gastroenterologist. Do not ignore this. Good luck.

gallbladder removed 3/6. twinge like ruq pain persists after removal. alt 245/ast 173 and has increased since surgery. alk phos and bilirubin normal. us & ct & mrcp normal. no current meds other than birth control. whats causing the elevations?

: Primary liver disease will not be significantly improved by gall bladder removal.  See your GI physician for guidance and ossible other testing such as a CT of your liver and ultrasound of the liver density.

25m. 4 months ago calcium, phosphorous and alk. phos. were normal. recently found mild scoliosis and low vitd at 30nm. how quick osteomalacia onset?

Immediately: Osteomalacia is underway as soon as an adult becomes vitamin d or calcium deficient. It starts of mild, but gets worse, and often remains undiagnosed, causing a great deal of misery. It's very reversible when you comply with proper treatment. Please do something about this.

i have mild fatty liver and gallbladder polyps my bloodwork now shows ast 34 and alt 28 ggt 9 i am scared  alk phispate 59 do i have cirrhosis 8 weeks ago ast 13 alt 10?

Doesn't sound likeit: Very unlikely that you have chronic liver disease, based on the info provided. Your tests are minimally abnormal at most. Fatty liver can cause these.  Check with your doc re: tests for abnormal liver chems, especially if longer than 6 months.

Depends: It depends on the lab&#x27; s normal range. As far as I can tell it looks borderline normal.

Alkaline phosphate: Should not usually increase that quickly. One concern would be for something going on in the liver. The bones are another source of alk phos. Another source is a pregnancy. But usually pregnancy does not cause such a rapid increase in the value. I would have you touch base with your primary for further investigation as to why this has happened.

my alk phos levels have gone from 92 on 3/26/13, to 44 as of 8/19/16. each test in between those dates shows decreasing levels. should i be worried?

No: A low alkaline phosphatase level is not any thing to be concerned about.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

alk phos 48 - 121 iu/l 122 h is this bad? it started at 101 in july of 2020. in march of 2021 it was 110 . know its at 122 . it seems to be on the rise and fast within 3 months?

: These fluctuations are still within the range of normal. Remember that alkaline phosphatase is produced in bone and the liver. These levels can fluctuate normally from time to time and also can be affected by medications, activity. Your levels seem to be within normal range.

would lymphoma cause high alk. phos.?

It is not specific f: High alk. Phos can be caused by any/many liver disorders from any cause including hepatitis, obstruction of the bile due to stone or tumor. Lymphoma itself hs little to do with alk. Phos but it can certainly infilterate into the liver or cause bile duct compression due to enlarged lymph nodes in the porta hepatis area of th eliver and thus  could, indirectly cause high alk phos levels in the blood.
