i have alcohol impotence (6yrs) & am 55. 20 yrs. -16 oz/day. cut back to 8oz. day average. saw urologist overall t-level 308.88; .20 psa. need help.

Alcoholics Anonymous: First, I am happy to have you asking these questions. But, your question is very confusing and I am surely going to miss some of your concerns. 
Second, you cannot drink anymore. Quite frankly just cutting back is not helping your health.
Third, your health both physically and mentally will get so much better after you stop drinking any alcohol. Please find a good aa buddy and go to some meetings.

can stress, alcohol, kidney stones, burning urinating, and riding motorcycle affect psa levels?

Maybe: Yes: burning urination may be a sign of an infection, which may raise the psa level

no: stress, alcohol, kidney stones

maybe: motorbike riding.

active 70 yr old male , non smoker / no alcohol. about to undergo robotic inguinal hernia repair. have bph with a psa  .64 . taking flowmax. is there anything i can do to help insure that i will be able to urinate post surgery ? thanks in advance !!

Urination: I recommend taking your flomax with a small amount of water on the day of surgery. Make sure you empty your bladder just before anesthesia and surgery. Also try to avoid opioid pain relievers, sedatives, decongestants and antihistamines postop. Get up and move around as early as possible. Don't wait too long to urinate if you get the urge. Don't let your bladder get distended.

Should be Normal: If the man in question has not had prostate cancer previously, a psa in this range is normal.
However, it is equally important that he undergo a rectal examination of the prostate yearly.  A normal psa is not a guarantee of prostate cancer free status.

PSA: Its not possible to respond to your question without any information, not even your age, let alone your medical history or medication. You should talk to the doctor that ordered the test for the most relevant answer to your question.

Maybe: Sometimes if there is an acute rise of psa it may be related to prostatitis (inflammation/infection) and your urologist may suggest an antibiotic and then repeating your psa in a few weeks. If psa still elevated and you have a discussion with your urologist/pcp you may need a biopsy.

Yes, get checked.: If this is your first result showing high blood psa, you should see your doctor to get worked up to be sure it isn't prostate cancer.  Other things, like prostate hypertrophy, can give high psa, but there are different results on dre (digital rectal exam) than cancer.  The prostate would be firm, smooth, and rubbery, not rough and irregular.  But you don't know unless you get checked, so see dr.

what is the meaniing of having a psa test of 4.1?

PSA: Psa, or prostate specific antigen, is a protein made by the prostate.  If your prostate is inflamed, infected, enlarged, or has a tumor in it, your level will be elevated. Normally, psa is 4 or less; a level of 4.1, particularly in an older male, may reflect any of the conditions i mentioned. You need to see your dr to discuss this; proper follow-up may be watchful waiting or further tests.

a psa  6.9 is biopsy needed?

Probably: An elevated psa (prostate specific antigen) test may require a prostate biopsy if no other cause for the elevation is determined. Usually, this means ruling out a prostate infection, or prostatitis.

Yes, but ..: The tests are reliable in what these tests measure, but are not helpful in early diagnosis of cancer.  These tests are useful in monitoring the course of illness and response to treatment.
