Iron deficiency: Has a hematologist investigated the cause of the iron deficiency?  Blood loss would be high on the list of causes. If his total iron binding capacity remains elevated, he would still be deficient in iron stores and he may remain anemic. Knowing levels of hematocrit,hemoglobin,red cell indices,b12 and folic acid levels, wbc,platelet count and serum electrophoresis(myeloma) is helpful if no bleeding

i m 66yr my tsh 0.8 ft3 (liothyronine) 4.7(2-3.6) ft4 0.2(0.8-1.5) hb 10.2. have hypoprotinimea, 7 albumin and 3 rbc transfusion in feb. why low t4 and high t3 (liothyronine).

Medication?: You indicated that you are on thyroxine.  I have a feeling that you are taking thyroid medication that contains t3, such as Armour Thyroid or Cytomel (liothyronine).  These medications will cause a high t3 and low T4 level, but the TSH will be normal.  If the ft3 and ft4 levels were done correctly, they should not have been affected by your low protein problem.

is it possible to give blood transfusion {packed red blood cells} through an arterial femoral line for the neonates?

Possible, but why?: It is not commonly done to put fluids into an arterial line, that usually is used for pressure monitoring and to obtain blood for testing. Could be done on a pump in theory. Usually would use a peripheral or central venous line to transfuse. Neonates may be only accessible vessel due to small size.

Not rally: Cord blood is kept for the aquisition of stem cells. It is easy to find matching packed rbcs from the general pool for his cousin.

Thalassemia: It has to be from the donor blood. Future repeat testing may become negative. Good luck

ALBUMIN: Yes, blood gets concentrated and some readings/ levels in blood would be falsely elevated.

appreciate that labs dont describe patient but am concerned about change and what to do now.

Not worrysome: Variations in lab results are not uncommon.
Your globulin level is not worrysome to me unless you are feeling unwell. Tell us why did you have the blood tests in the first place?
