Anxiety leads this system to signal the GI tract, creating your symptoms. There is also the GI tract's own enteric nervous system, further causing stomach symptoms when anxious. Pain itself causes anxiety, so this is the viscious circle you're asking about.

every so often i get like a heat flash over my body my stomach and chest burn, i feel like fainting but dont, i get cold air and it goes away i get anxiety and in my head bad could this be anxiety or something more serious?

: Before we ascribe these episodes to anxiety I'd recommend that you have an evaluation by an endocrinologist to rule out conditions where abnormal amounts of certain hormones can be released by pathology in adrenal glands or abnormal variations in female hormone levels.

when i gulp air or drink or eat, within a few secs, i hear left side of the stomach gurgling. happens often, esp when hv anxiety episodes. stool daily, always long but sometimes a bit softer than usual. is there a blockage in my colon causing sound?

: Rest assured, if there were a blockage, you would not be having normal BMs. The gurgling may result from the air you have swallowed or from liquids moving. Try to gulp less air, and chew your food thoroughly. Gas from foods can be relieved with OTC gas relievers.

every time i breath in with my nose i feel air go into my stomach and feel the need to burp it out. is this aerophagia? not diagnosed for anxiety but been very stressed these past few weeks due to gi issues?

: If air ends up in your stomach with that maneuver, I'd regard it as aerophagia. If this is caused by stress or anxiety, stress management therapy could help you break the habit. Also getting your gi issues controlled should be helpful as well. Avoid gassy foods&amp; beverages.

The gut is sometimes: called "the second brain."  Anxiety can upset it because of the many neurotransmitter receptor cites in the gut.  Lots of people register stress there.  If medical conditions have been ruled out use a book called "Hope and help for your Nerves: by Claire Weekes.  Peace and good health.  If you are concerned about ulcer, most are caused by bacteria rather than stress.

Anxiety shows itself: In may ways.  Once can mentally obsess over things that frighten the person or do behaviors to keep danger away, e.g., ritual behaviors, checking and re-checking.  Physically there can be heart palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, sleeplessness, etc.  Please see your doc and then go to a mental health professional for support if you think you have an anxiety disorder.

: Any problem with your body or mind can cause more stress and anxiety. Try to address any problems that can cause additional stress and anxiety, even if you need therapy, stay away from drugs.

Yes: There are many connections between the stomach and the brain tha twe really don't understand yet.  Several anxiety conditions can cause abdominal bloating and other abdominal symptoms.  There is even a "brain" in the intestines, which is a complex set of neurons that respond to environmental triggers.  If you feel better from applying pressure to your stomach, then go for it.
