how to prevent aging spots ( blemishes) from growing and how to eliminate them?

Age spot prevention: Best way of preventing age spots (freckles) is to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen.  Some skin lesions that are considered age spots are actually benign growths, called seborrheic keratoses (sk).  Pretty much everyone gets them.  In some people this condition is hereditary, particularly if there are many sks.  There is no good way of preventing these unfortunately.  But they can be treated.

can .1% otc adapalene potentially be beneficial for alopecia barbae? im planning on using it for anti aging/sun spots but was curious if thats potentially a secondary benefit. saw some studies it may be beneficial. was just curious. thanks?

: Highly unlikely. There are much better ways of treating Alopecia. However, should the loss of hair be due to an acne process, the adapalene would help to treat the acne ...and thus indirectly , the resultant alopecia

will adapalene be less effective if you have a short/medium length beard? maybe a half inch beard. im wanting to use it for sun spots/aging. i have a pretty thin beard. is it a waste of time applying? is there a technique to apply with a beard? ty?

: A beard is not going to affect adapalene's bioavailability though you may need to use a bit more because some will be retained by the beard. Adapalene is indicated for severe acne and has been used off label for rosacea. It is not a benign drug. Using it for skin spots isn't going to work and treating yourself with adapalene for aging skin at age 36 can only result in greater damage over time.

Options : Options might include light liquid nitrogen cryotherapy to a select few lesions to lighten them, fade creams such as hydroquinone, the obagi skin care system (see a before and after picture below), ipl laser, and of course consistent use of sunscreen!  i hope that helps.

See a dermatologist: Lentigo Simplex and Penile Lentiginosis present as flat brown to black spots on the penis with irregular borders. They are not malignant BUT Lentigo Maligna(Hutchinson melanotic freckle) and melanoma may look similar to Lentigo Simplex. The presence of several spots makes melanoma less likely, but to be on the safe side have a dermatologist examen them to be certain.

Doctor can evaluate: Rashes are quite hard to describe and diagnose in words. A primary doctor or a dermatologist can look at it in order to tell what it is. If dry skin or eczema rash, hydrocortisone cream helps. Some rashes are an allergy to something. Hydrocortisone also helps allergic rashes. A rash from a fungus would need an antifungal. If it doesn't go away quickly, a doctor can tell if it is something serious.

Combination Therapy: The best way to remove age spots is combination therapy. This includes using topical prescription creams like tretinoin and hydroquinone. Chemical peels and laser are also very effective. Sun block is also critical. Dermatologists specialize in removing age spots.
