i had a catheter inserted two days ago and yesterday and today i'm now peeing blood! i can actually see blood on the toilet paper!

Go see doctor: Call or go see the doctor that put the catheter in.  Let him/her know what's going on.  Ask if that is expected.  If so, ask how long to expect it to go on.  Ask how much is too much.  Ask what other symptoms to expect and what symptoms could occur that should make you go to urgent care, hospital, etc.  Good luck.

i had a hysterectomy 10 days ago. i have been having trouble peeing. saw my doc post op two days ago urine looked normal but now i'm peeing blood?

BLOOD: Most likely you have a condition called hematospermia.  Irritation of the prostate or seminal vesicle can cause blood in the semen.  You should still be evaluated for a UTI or other causes

Go see a Urologist: There could be inflammation or infection in your bladder, urethra or testicles.
You may need cystoscopy.

Yes . . .: Yes, assuming correct antibiotics. Most of time, we just guess at need for antibiotic w/o identifying specific organism causing infection. So if you're still feeling poorly after 2 different antibiotics, it's time to stop guessing and obtain culture &amp; sensitivity to identify bacterial. Go back to Family Doc for further testing. May need to get xray or CT. May need to see Urologist for endoscopy.

Unlikely: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that,  If you did not have vaginal bleeding at the time of specimen collection, it could not have gotten contaminated with menstrual blood.

hi . since last year i ve been finding blood in my urine only one single time after every sex intercourse. i have been to the urologist that didnt find the cause expect bacteria (i took med) but i keep having hematuria he said maybe friction. isitok?

: Your statement is somewhat confused. But I could say if the hematuria only occurs after sexual intercourse, your urologist is correct. If urine is normal when the sample is not collected after the intercourse and cystoscopy was negative for urethral &amp; bladder lesion, I would concur with your urologist.

hematuria after longgggg lasting sex. new to lexipro which causes delayed ejaculation. blood clots in urine too. no sex no blood. gp did urinalysis all clear, ct pelvis and abd back in nov 4 abd pain, all clear. busted blood vessel or prostate?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You have obviously seen a doctor. Your doctor is in much better position to advise you than it feasible in this forum.  It would be prudent to see a urologist.

Blood in urine: Blood in the urine  is not normal. Blood from your period ( menstruation) exits the vagina, not the urinary tract. If you are urinating blood, see you doctor right away. This could be a sign of infection, inflammation of the bladder, kidney stone or other serious problem.

Urinary tract : infection can cause blood in urine, as can trauma. if no blood recurs you are probably ok but it it recurs see your gynecologist right away. To be safe you can always see doctor and get urinalysis
