No: The idea of antibiotic before dental work was to counter the known spike of bacteria from the teeth. It has never been proved to be a way to reduce endocarditis. You may as well take it every time you brush your teeth. The most common wisdom is that there is more harm than good from use of antibiotic before the dentist if you have a heart valve issue or an artificial joint.

No risk: Studies have shown the alcohol wipe is worthless.  If one needs to sterilize the skin one need betadyne/ hibiclens scrub prior.

Yes : Mitral Valve Repair it's a term used for the mitral stenosis and is used with open heart surgery,  Mitral valvuloplasty is a medical procedure where your valve is opened to let de blood flow and they used a catheter to make it,  the annuloplasty ring it's attached to keep the repair. If you have a doubt, you can always make your X-ray to watch the ring.

The repairs are specific to the patient and the valve pathology.  Creative and may include neo cords, resections, and almost all with a ring annuloplasty.
